I’ve just concluded my time at Cranleigh which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. I studied French, Spanish, Latin and Greek AS in the Sixth Form. Thanks to Mr Boggitt among others, I was able to take Russian A Level in my gap year. The committed and talented teachers provided me with an education for which I will always be immensely privileged and grateful to have had. I am now off to study French and Russian at Queen’s College, Cambridge.
Josh describes Mr Rothwell, Master of the Scholars and Mrs Davison, his tutor as being especially instrumental in his Oxbridge application process.
The advice Mr Rothwell was able to offer and understanding he has from having been a Cambridge student himself was particularly helpful. He and countless other teachers organise regular extra sessions for all those with aspirations to attend prestigious universities and this is why Cranleigh has prepared me and my peers so well. My tutor Mrs Davison was very supportive of my decision to apply to Cambridge and to see the joy she had on hearing my good news was the cherry on the cake. This is the type of community it is at Cranleigh.
I will look back on my time in the Sixth Form with very fond memories but I’m equally looking forward to studying at Cambridge for which Cranleigh has, to my mind, so excellently prepared me.
